The Fussy Wife

Mrs Smith is very fat, but her husband is very thin. Mrs Smith always criticizes her husband. Whatever her husband does seems to be wrong in her eyes. ‘He is good for nothing,’ she usually says to her neighbors.

One day, Mrs Smith saw that the shirt her husband was wearing have holes on the collar. “Oh, there are holes on your shirt. You need new shirts. I’ll buy you tomorrow,’ she said. Mrs Smith went to the shop and bought two shirts. She gave them to her husband, but Mr Smith said nothing.

The following morning, Mr Smith went down the stairs wearing one of the new shirts. He went to the kitchen where his wife was. The woman stared at him for a moment, then she said angrily, ‘And, what’s wrong with the other shirt! Don’t you like it?’
