The Beatles: From Me To You

If there’s anything that you want
If there’s anything I can do
Just call on me, and I’ll send it
along with love from me to you

I’ve got everything that you want
Like a heart that’s oh so true
Just call on me, and I’ll send it
along with love from me to you

Olivia Newton-John: Come on Over

If my life gets like a jigsaw
with a piece out of place
Come on over
Put a smile back on my face
And if all my bad days came at once
You would know just what to do
Come on over
Baby you would see me through

The Appointment in Samara

The speaker is Death

There was a merchant in Baghdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw it was Death that jostled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture, now, lend me your horse, and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samara and there Death will not find me. The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. Then the merchant went down to the marketplace and he saw me standing in the crowd and he came to me and said, Why did you make a threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning? That was not a threatening gesture, I said, it was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Baghdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samara.

Queen: Another One Bites the Dust

Steve walks warily down the street
with his brim pulled way down low
Ain’t no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine gun’s ready to go
Are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
to the sound of the beat, yeah

The Shepherd Boy

Once there was a shepherd boy. One day while watching his sheep, he saw a black smoke rising up from a house. A man came out of the house and shouted, "Fire!" Within a minute many people of neighboring houses came out. They carried buckets full of water to put off the fire. When the fire had been put out, the boy thought, "Everyone paid a lot of attention to the man whose house was on fire. How important he must have felt." Thus, he got an idea. He thought that - as a shepherd - his duty was to look out for wolves.

Olivia Newton-John: Let It Shine

A woman needs attention
like the flowers need the sun.
Without than attention,
well a woman feels undone.
Now I’m like a flower
that’s been standing in the rain.

that the sun will shine again.

The Beatles: Tomorrow Never Knows

Turn off your mind, relax
and float down stream

Lay down all thoughts,

Yet you may see the meaning of within
It is being, it is being.
