Every one wants to be successful, but not many who are willing to pay the cost. Every success needs certain cost. There is, I’m sure, no instant success. ‘No Pain No Gain’ ensures the point.
When someone wants to be able to ride a bicycle, for instance, he must practice riding it again and again. After failing many times, he will get the result: skillful in riding bicycle. This effort - practice - is what so called the cost.
Being able to speak English well is also a skill. It needs a cost, it needs practice. Some people who say they are willing to speak English well, in fact, don’t practice it as regularly as they should. They are not willing to pay the cost. Some, even, try to find the shortcut. They become disappointed and frustrated because there is no shortcut. The only way is practice. Being able to speak English well (and all types of success) is not like juggling, you merely say ‘Abracadabra’, ‘Hocus Pokus’ and become a good English speaker. It is not that way.
